Originally known as "Round Lake Township", Andover MN was founded in 1857 and around 1860 held a population of only 330 people, a far cry from the over 30,000+ people that call the mostly residential community of Andover home. Then in 1974 the name was changed to what we know today as Andover MN, some believe because of the "Andover Train Station".
     With ongoing business growth and expansion such as the Andover Station, a 90 acre redevelopment community targeting higher scale retail stores and restaurants. There are additional large scale retail expansion being planned currently and over 200 new homes are constructed yearly.
