Minnesota Home Inspector

Home Concerns

Let me start by saying, every single Minnesota home will have issues to some extent. As a buyer, whether first time or repeat, there are going to be many issues that may come up during looking at a home or during a home inspection. As a certified and professional Minnesota home inspector, I have not found one home that did not have any problems. There will be concerns dealing with safety, maintenance, cosmetic and even some structural. The thing to remember is that just because there are problems does not mean you should not purchase the home. Every person will have his or her own level of patience and willingness to take on repairs and maintenance.
As a home inspector my job is to not only notify you of the concerns, but to let you know (in my professional opinion) what degree of concern the problem may pose. I can not tell you whether to purchase or not purchase the home. This is a decision only the buyer can make. One thing I tell all my clients is to remember that everything is negotiable. So if there is a major concern that could be hazardous or expensive, consider negotiating with the seller to do the repairs or lower the price as an option instead of walking way from your dream home.
